According to the driving assistance method, whether the no-parking area exists in front of the lane of the vehicle or not is judged based on the navigation information, if yes, the vehicle detection module is started or started to be called, the reliability of judging the no-parking area can be improved, and the effect of reducing or avoiding the situation that the vehicle stops in the no-parking area is achieved. If no parking forbidding area exists in front of the lane of the vehicle, the detection module is not started or started to be called, so that the calculation power occupation of the vehicle control module can be reduced, the energy consumption of the vehicle detection module and the control module is reduced, and the effect of reducing the overall energy consumption of the vehicle is achieved.
