The driving device comprises a rope driving mechanism, a tail main body is mounted on the driving device, the rope driving mechanism is connected with the two sides of the tail main body in a rope driving manner, and the rope driving mechanism is used for driving the tail main body to swing; the tail main body comprises a plurality of joints and a plurality of groups of spring components; the multiple joints are sequentially arranged on the same axis in a separated mode, a plurality of spring components are fixedly connected between the adjacent joints, and the multiple spring components are used for achieving rotary connection between the adjacent joints. Under the driving of the rope driving mechanism, the mutually separated joints in the whole tail main body rotate through the multiple groups of spring components, so that the purpose of controlling the tail of the crocodile-imitating robot to swing by few driving motors is achieved, and the problem that the tail of an existing crocodile-imitating robot needs to be controlled by multiple motors to swing is thoroughly solved.
