The invention relates to a guide rail type stair climbing and old people helping shared robot, belongs to the field of old people helping mechanical equipment technology and community intelligent infrastructure construction, and the manned stair climbing robot is put and used in a corridor of a community building based on a sharing mode. The robot is composed of a guide rail, a rack, auxiliary parts, an advancing mechanism, a butt joint mechanism and a climbing mechanism. The guide rail is fixedly erected on a wall body on one side, close to a wall, of a corridor; the rack is a basic frame of the robot, and a main body is used for bearing and protecting a single user; the accessory parts comprise electronic parts and a storage battery of the robot; the advancing mechanism is composed of four Mecanum wheels and matched motors of the Mecanum wheels and is responsible for driving the robot to move on the flat ground and the corridor platform. The butt joint mechanism comprises a lead screw installed on one side of the robot, and a butt joint sleeve specially designed is used for achieving butt joint of the robot and the guide rail. The climbing mechanism comprises a gear and a climbing motor and is used for providing movement for the robot to advance on the guide rail.
