The invention provides a goods identification method based on a storage location, an unmanned forklift and a storage medium, and the method comprises the steps that a first storage location image is obtained through a visual detection device, the first storage location image comprises at least one storage location area, and the storage location area is used for indicating the space, used for stacking goods, of a to-be-identified storage location in a warehouse; a storage location area in the first storage location image is identified, an identification result is obtained, and the identification result at least comprises whether goods are stacked on the storage location to be identified or not; and the identification result is sent to a central control system, so that the central control system carries out cargo management on the storage location to be identified. By the adoption of the method, the problems that in the prior art, the cargo carrying efficiency is reduced, and potential safety hazards are caused can be solved.
