A point cloud sensor is arranged on the unmanned forklift, and the unmanned forklift can obtain point cloud data of the target tray through the point cloud sensor; target data corresponding to the point cloud data are determined in a pre-stored tray database, and the tray database comprises parameter data corresponding to various trays of different sizes; and determining the size of the target tray according to the target data.
