The invention discloses a tower crane hoisting safety detection device and method.The tower crane hoisting safety detection device comprises a calibration platform, the upper end face and the lower end face of the calibration platform are two parallel planes, a plurality of indicator lamps are evenly distributed on the side face of the calibration platform in the circumferential direction, at least three spherical hinge supports are annularly arrayed on the lower end face of the calibration platform, and spherical hinge rods are arranged on the spherical hinge supports in a matched mode; a tension sensor is arranged on the outer side wall of the spherical hinge rod in the axis direction of the spherical hinge rod, a lifting appliance hanging mechanism is arranged at the outer end of the spherical hinge rod, a rotating table is arranged on the lower end face of the calibration platform and connected with a connecting rod, the connecting rod is perpendicular to the upper end face of the calibration platform, and two distance measuring sensors are vertically connected to the lower portion of the connecting rod side by side. The rotating path of the distance measuring sensor is concentric with the center of the annular array of all the spherical hinge supports. The hoisting safety of the hoisted object can be accurately evaluated, hidden dangers such as inclination of the hoisted object, virtual hoisting of the slings and uneven stress of multiple slings are avoided, and the hoisting safety of the tower crane is improved.
