The invention provides a travel control device, a travel control method, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a computer program for travel control. A travel control device creates a plurality of routes from a current lane in which a vehicle is currently traveling to lanes other than the current lane among a plurality of lanes divided by a lane division line located ahead in the direction of travel via a non-lane section having no lane division line. A route corresponding to a forward route in which the vehicle travels in the non-lane section calculated using output data of a sensor mounted in the vehicle is determined as a travel route among the plurality of routes, and travel of the vehicle is controlled so that a lane to which the travel route is directed among the plurality of lanes is maintained.
