The invention belongs to the field of mechanical equipment, and particularly relates to a rope skipping prevention device for a horizontal steel wire rope in a tower crane and an assembling method thereof. The rope skipping prevention device comprises a rope skipping prevention pulley block and an adjustable connecting frame. The rope skipping prevention pulley block comprises a special wheel shaft, a limiting pulley and two groups of round nuts. The middle section of the special pin shaft is a polished rod section used for being sleeved with the limiting pulley. Threaded sections are arranged at the two ends of the polished rod section in the special wheel shaft and used for being sleeved with round nuts. An annular limiting part which protrudes outwards and has a double-hump-shaped section is arranged in the circumferential direction of a pulley body of the limiting pulley; second rope grooves are formed in the centers of the limiting parts. The limiting part can be inserted into the first rope groove, and a kidney-hole-shaped cavity used for containing a steel wire rope is formed between the first rope groove and the second rope groove. The adjustable connecting frame is used for connecting the rope skipping prevention pulley block and the steering pulley block and adjusting the installation distance between the two pulley blocks. The problems that the steel wire rope of an existing tower crane is prone to rope skipping faults, so that the steel wire rope is broken, and pulley blocks are damaged are solved.
