The embodiment of the invention provides a rope skipping prevention structure and engineering machinery, and relates to the technical field of engineering machinery. The rope skipping prevention structure comprises a support, a check ring and a damping assembly, the check ring is movably connected with the support, the support and the check ring jointly form a containing frame, a steel wire rope penetrates through the containing frame, and the damping assembly is connected with the check ring and the support; and the damping assembly is used for reducing the motion amplitude of the steel wirerope in the containing frame. The containing frame formed by the rope skipping prevention structure can limit the moving range of the steel wire rope, the damping assembly can relieve impact of the steel wire rope on the check ring and the support, the structure is reliable, the buffering effect is good, and the problem of rope skipping caused by too large amplitude of the steel wire rope can be effectively avoided.
