The disclosed techniques enable automatic parking of autonomous vehicles. An example method of performing automatic parking of a vehicle includes obtaining a first set of location information describing locations of a plurality of points on an autonomous vehicle from a plurality of global positioning system (GPS) devices located on or in the autonomous vehicle, where the first set of location information is associated with a first location of the autonomous vehicle, based on the first set of position information and the position of the parking area, trajectory information describing a trajectory of the autonomous vehicle traveling from the first position of the autonomous vehicle to the parking area is determined, and the autonomous vehicle is caused to travel along the trajectory to the parking area by operating one or more devices located in the autonomous vehicle based at least on the trajectory information.
