The invention relates to the field of lifting electromagnets, in particular to a lifting electromagnet follow current protection circuit which comprises a three-phase rectification direct-current power source, an electromagnet, a follow current protection circuit and a main contactor, wherein the three-phase rectification direct-current power source is connected with the electromagnet in series, and the electromagnet is connected with the main contactor in series. The electromagnet is connected in parallel with the follow current protection circuit, and the follow current protection circuit comprises a follow current control contactor, a diode and a resistor which are sequentially connected in series. According to the lifting electromagnet follow current protection circuit, the arc discharge problem of a contact of an electromagnet contactor is relieved, the service life of the contactor is greatly prolonged, therefore, the maintenance cost is reduced, the fault rate of the contactor is reduced, and a guarantee is provided for safe lifting of the lifting electromagnet.
