The invention discloses a climbing robot for communication maintenance and a climbing method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of communication maintenance. The climbing robot comprises a pair of mounting frames and rope fixing buckles arranged on the mounting frames, the mounting frames are hinged to each other to form an annular cylinder internally provided with a containing cavity, more than one crawling mechanism which is detachably connected to the mounting frames and located in the containing cavity, and the mounting frames are driven by the crawling mechanisms to move on the communication tower; and locking mechanisms which are detachably connected to the two ends of the mounting frame. In order to ensure that the climbing robot can stably move on the communication tower and prevent the climbing robot from falling under special conditions such as strong wind, locking mechanisms are further arranged at the two ends of the mounting frame, and if the climbing robot slips and falls in the climbing process, an operator manually operates the locking mechanisms, the climbing robot is clamped on the communication tower, so that the climbing robot is prevented from falling together with an operator.

    本发明公开了一种通信维修用攀爬机器人及其攀爬方法,属于通信维修技术领域。包括一对安装架,设与所述安装架上的绳索固定扣,所述安装架相互铰接连接形成一个内部具有容纳腔的环形柱体,可拆卸连接在所述安装架上且位于容纳腔内的一个以上爬行机构,利用爬行机构带动安装架在通信塔上进行移动,可拆卸连接在所述安装架两端的锁紧机构。本发明为了确保攀爬机器人能够稳固的再通信塔上进行移动,避免在大风等特殊情况下攀爬机器人发生坠落,在安装架两端还设有锁紧机构,若攀爬机器人在爬行的过程中发生打滑坠落时,操作人员手动操控锁紧机构,使攀爬机器人卡紧在通信塔上,避免攀爬机器人发生坠落,连带操作人员一起坠落。
