The invention discloses a leg mechanism for a large-load foot type robot, which comprises a thigh and a shank connected with the thigh, and is characterized in that the thigh comprises a shell forming an accommodating cavity, a transmission piece arranged in the accommodating cavity and a connecting rod assembly, the shell is used for being connected with a power module and driven by the power module to rotate, the connecting rod assembly comprises a first connecting rod, a transfer connecting rod and a second connecting rod, the first connecting rod is rotationally connected with the transmission piece, the transfer connecting rod is rotationally connected to the shell, the second connecting rod is rotationally connected to the shank, the transmission piece is rotationally arranged at the first end of the shell and used for being connected with the power module, the transmission piece rotates relative to the shell when the power module works so as to drive the first connecting rod to move, the first connecting rod drives the transfer connecting rod to rotate during movement, the transfer connecting rod drives the second connecting rod to move during rotation so as to enable the shank to rotate, and the shank is further rotationally connected with the second end of the shell. The invention further provides a large-load foot type robot with the leg mechanism.
