The invention discloses a deceleration closed-loop control urban rail vehicle braking system and method. The system comprises a braking control unit, the braking control unit is connected with a basic braking device, the basic braking device comprises a brake pad, a brake disc and a pressure sensor, and the brake pad is used for being attached to the brake disc to generate pressing force, and generating braking deceleration based on the pressing force; and the pressure sensor is used for monitoring the pressing force in real time by the braking control unit. By means of the urban rail vehicle braking system, the braking deceleration and the pressing force generated by the braking system can be monitored and controlled, and the urban rail braking system scheme of deceleration closed-loop control is formed.
