The invention discloses a patrol robot capable of monitoring and protecting. The robot comprises a rack, a power cavity is formed in the right side of the middle of the rack, during daily patrol, wheels are driven to enable the equipment to move slowly, a probe is made to rotate evenly to monitor the surroundings, and then the safety of the environment monitored by the equipment is guaranteed; a pitching angle of the probe can be adjusted through the control button according to different use environments, a visual field range which can be monitored by the probe is adjusted, and therefore the purpose of adapting to more environments and occasions is achieved; and when illegal personnel are found, the moving speed of equipment can be increased, a lubricating liquid is sprayed to the ground and is smeared so that the purpose that illegal personnel cannot normally pass is achieved, and the safety of a monitoring place is greatly improved. The device is high in automation degree, capable ofadapting to most use scenes, good in protection and monitoring capacity and worthy of being widely popularized and put into use.
