The invention provides a lane departure correction system based on electric power steering. The system comprises a departure correction unit, a CAN communication unit and a smart phone unit. Two signal output ends of a CAN bus interface of the departure correction unit are connected with the signal input end of a steering assistance motor and the signal input end of a steering lamp respectively through an auxiliary control module and an automobile light control module, and the CAN bus interface is in communication connection with a bus control module in the CAN communication unit; the signal output end of the bus control module is in communication with a Bluetooth module B in the smart phone unit sequentially through a vehicle-mounted information processing module and a Bluetooth module A; the Bluetooth module B is in communication connection with the smart phone processing module; and the signal input end of the smart phone processing module is further connected with the signal output end of an image collecting module, and the signal output end is connected with the signal input end of a display module and the signal input end of an alarm module. The system is low in additionally-arranged cost, simple in structure and high in early warning accuracy.
