A finite time control method for an automobile active suspension system belongs to the field of automobile active suspensions. The finite time control method for the automobile active suspension system is proposed for solving the problems of simplicity and disturbance of system modeling while solving the problem of incapability of stabilizing a system within a finite time in an existing suspension system design. According to the method, a dynamic equation for sprung mass and unsprung mass of an active suspension is determined, a state trajectory of the suspension system is obtained, and a finite time controller is designed, so that the value of a sliding-mode surface composed of the state trajectory of the suspension system reaches zero within the finite time; and finally, control parameters are adjusted, so that the state trajectory of the suspension system is stabilized within the finite time, i.e., the trajectory of the suspension system reaches an original point within the finite time. According to the method, the fact that vertical displacement of an automobile body is stabilized within the finite time can be ensured, and the control precision and driving comfort of the suspension system are improved.
