A disclosed overwater helping type unmanned aerial vehicle comprises an equipment cabin, a task cabin, a support arm, a rotor motor, a rotor and an undercarriage; the inner sides of the undercarriage are symmetrically provided with a pair of lifebuoy clamping devices, the clamping devices comprise a motor base, a rotation motor, and clamping arm assemblies for flexibly clamping a lifebuoy at the inner sides of the undercarriage; and the rotation motor is installed on the motor base and drives the clamping arm assemblies to swing, and the clamping arm assemblies synchronously make motions. The overwater helping type unmanned aerial vehicle is capable of carrying a lifebuoy. The unmanned aerial vehicle carried with the lifebuoy rapidly flies to the upper side of a drowning person and throws the lifebuoy according to a monitoring image and data on the aerial vehicle, so that the drowning person can be conveniently rescued. For water rescue, time is life, the employed unmanned aerial vehicle gives play to rapid rescuing effect, further helps to enrich and improve the water rescue level, has the characteristics of fast speed, wide search scope, high intelligentization degree and the like, and is an ideal choice for long-distance large-area search and rescue.
