The invention provides an extended range electric vehicle. A signal end of a turboshaft engine (1) is connected with a controller (2) of the turboshaft engine, and a transmission shaft is connected with a rotating shaft of an electric generator (3). The electric generator (3) outputs electric energy and transmits the electric energy to a battery pack (4) and a driving motor (6). The battery pack (4) is connected with the driving motor (6) and is connected to a battery controller (5) at the signal end. A transmission shaft of the driving motor (6) is connected with vehicle wheels (11). A cold air duct of a battery radiator (7) leads to the battery pack (4). An air transporting pipeline of an air storage tank (9) is connected with a fuel gas input pipeline of the turboshaft engine (1). According to the extended range electric vehicle, the advantage of the turboshaft engine is developed, and an efficient, stable and environment-friendly system is formed through the turboshaft engine, the driving motor, the battery pack and a central controller. The extended range electric vehicle has the advantages that the power to weight ratio is high, the power consumption is low, the emission is low, the noise and vibration are low, an off-gas treatment system does not need to use, the maintenance is easy, and the service lift is long.
