Abstract Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and apparatus for controlling an unmanned vehicle, relating to the field of autonomous driving. The method includes that: target point cloud data is acquired; the target point cloud data is processed using a multi-layer grid network to obtain a target processing result; and a control strategy of the unmanned vehicle is determined based on the target processing result. The embodiments of the present disclosure solve a technical problem where point cloud data processing methods provided in related art result in poor vehicle control performance due to an inability to meet the control decision-making needs of unmanned vehicles.
