Study by group of companies of relationship between LP-Gas characteristics and knock limited performance of several bus and truck engines; results show that knock limited spark advance characteristics of blends could be rationalized in terms of research and motor octane numbers calculated and determined for blends; new approach to design mechanical octane numbers for gaseous fuels is suggested.
