The problem of absolute positioning a device in the form of binoculars is being considered. It consists of two rigid bodies: lenses connected by a common rotation axis. Absolute and relative positioning of each of the lenses is required. The paper presents solution to the problem using inertial sensors and Hall sensor blocks installed in each of the lenses. The problem was solved with an algorithm based on the Madgwick filter. Filter operation results were verified using the records obtained from the video analysis system.
