Topics addressed in this chapter include steps to insure an accurate diagnosis, patient preparation and counseling, and how to set up the operating room for success with an emphasis on patient positioning and trocar configuration. We discuss specific robotic ureteral reconstruction surgeries including: robotic pyeloplasty, robotic ureteroureterostomy, robotic ureterocalicostomy, robotic ureteral reimplantation, and robotic ureterolysis. We also present a new technique for ureteral strictures – robotic buccal mucosal graft ureteroplasty. Postoperative complications are addressed and strategies to minimize and manage them are discussed. We will highlight specific surgical techniques, where applicable, to aid both the novice and experienced surgeon.
