This chapter explores emergent challenges for the transportation sector through adaptive notions of resilience as they apply to critical infrastructure (CI) security. We frame the discussion through an interdisciplinary policy and engineering approach to transportation security and adaptive resilience as a means to identify next‐generation pressures at the policy, technological, and institutional levels.
