This chapter gives a brief overview of compressed gas hydrogen storage systems for light duty hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Projected system weight, volume, and cost of the system are summarized and compared to the Department of Energy (DOE) targets. Design options to reduce the mass of carbon fiber composite and system cost are briefly discussed.
