This chapter discusses the selection of business models for fast‐charging stations, location of installation, electric power supply to fast‐charging stations, and availability of load. There are two different types of business models, namely the integrated model and the independent model that are widely used across the world. The business model has to be selected for the particular site or individual basis. Geospatial analysis is used to identify the total number of charging stations and their location in the planning area. This analysis uses various spatial parameters like population, availability of electricity, etc., for the analysis. The electric power supply to fast‐charging stations can be purchased in an open access competitive market or using renewable energy sources locally at the site location.
