This contribution deals with the path planning problem for lateral control in Advanced Driving Assistant Systems (ADAS). An algorithm that implements path planning for different lateral features within a unified control system architecture will be proposed. Special focus is placed on lane keeping assist due to the complexity of the feature. Simulation and vehicle tests, which have shown promising results, are also presented in this paper.
