A binary logit mode choice model that incorporates nonmotorized modes of transport was formulated. The model was calibrated with data collected at a Brazilian university campus, by means of travel diaries that were completed by students, staff, and faculty. The binary logit model gives the probability of an individual’s choosing walking or a motorized mode based on socioeconomic variables, land use characteristics, and trip length.
