Basing on spatial characteristic of ship formation, numerical characteristics of anti-ship missile (ASM) shooting stream and the dynamic combat process, cooperative models including detection, interception region and confrontation of ship formation to anti-ship missiles were built. The method to calculate numbers of ASM needed to form the saturation attack was deduced. Simulation results show that intensity of ASM is the main factor to influence anti-saturation ability of ship formation, and launching multiple air-defense missiles for each ASM in a salvo can improve anti-saturation ability of ship formation effectively.
