There are limited number of ports accessing to port areas directly so far, therefore, trucks need be used to accomplish the process of the transportation from the port to the container centeral station after container arriving the port.At the same time, the container handling stations's number is limited, the specialization is in low degree and the amount of container unit train stock is deficient, above all they are the principal factors contributed to the overstock of product on ports. Therefore, it should speed up the construction of the pilot station, especially the building of railway lines directly through the port connecting the loading and unloading lines and the main railway lines, achieve the itergration of crunodes and lines in crunode-line combination network. This paper illustrate the elements of railway-waterway intermodal transportation network with crunode-line combination and construct through transportation network rationalization model based on virtual network, in addition, discuss the importance of the enterprice alliance to the development of railway-waterway intermodal transportation.
