With the ever increasing demands for environmental care in port and offshore development, the pressure is on to ensure that the removal and disposal of all dredged materials meet the high specifications and safety standards. A new equipment was developed and tested by Dredging International (DI), a Belgian company belonging to the Dredging, Environmental and Marine Engineering (DEME) group. The new tools for the removal of polluted materials, especially from harbor areas and waterways, have proved to operate with minimal environmental disturbance at competitive costs.
