A review of mathematical models simulating rollover events under various test conditions is presented. The types of models reviewed include rigid-body-based and finite-element-based models. Simulations of FMVSS 208 rollover test procedure using a rigid-body-based model is demonstrated. Model limitations and issues are addressed to potential users/modelers regarding their applicability. Areas of further improvements over these models are also presented.
