A new and rigorous simulation method for ground and air resonance stability analysis of helicopter rotor systems is presented. The method is based on an innovative approach to the formulation of the full nonlinear equations of motion. The full set of nonlinear equations is expanded by the Lagrangian approach using the MAPLE code then converts the equation of motion into C or Fortran for numerical integration. This code is then incorporated into the MATLAB code. SIMULINK integrates the compiled C or Fortran code, and generates time history plots of blade and fuselage motion.
