This paper introduces the underlying neurofuzzy techniques that have been developed by the Image, Speech and Intelligent Systems Laboratory at the University of Southampton to provide a capability for real-time signal processing algorithms. It also presents the intelligent driver system process, and the constituent intelligent driver warning system modules are then detailed, together with the specific neurofuzzy algorithms used to implement them.
