Interest in the reduction of railway rolling noise at source continue to increase. At present, a number of options are available to deal with the excitation, response and radiation of noise. The TWINS software provides a means of quantifying the effects of different measures, separately and in combination so that an optimum 'package' of noise reduction measures can be derived for a given situation.
