A new connector design is described which anchors and seals on the inside wall of the coiled tubing (CT), thus allowing the connector to be the same outside diameter (OD) as the tool string, or the CT itself. This eliminates the OD limitation at the connector, and possibly allows larger CT to be used in a specific application, which may offer substantial increases in job efficiency and capabilities. The internal connector utilizes permanent packer technology in the seal and slip design, providing high performance.
