The experimental conditions of the ASTM-D-3702 standard are extended, such that comparative material data are provided which are relevant to automotive powertrain applications. All of the bearing grade material are compared with polyaryletherketone 450FC30. A matrix of pv combinations is used to characterized tribological performance of the materials tested. For each specific wear condition, 95% confidence intervals are calculated.
