A new type of lightweight, highly reliable evaporator has been developed. The evaporator design uses a common formed plate which contributes to simplicity of the assembly process. In the evaporator, the uniqueness of the holes in the plate protrusions, combined with the manufacturing process, assures evaporator tubes to be free of residual flux. In addition, the integrity of the whole evaporator brazing is enhanced.
