A good headlamp light distribution requires a light distribution that fulfills the customer's demand for a homogeneous luminance distribution on the nighttime street. Bosch has undertaken a project that focused on the measurement of luminances and the evaluation of better mechanical analysis methods and resulting homogeneity criteria. Results show that from analyzing the data of a headlamp light distribution, more than isolux data and photometric values can be obtained. In fact, a definition of homogeneity can be established.
