Findings obtained through this study are summarized below. Based on the characteristics of actual driver's operation, a new braking model, which enables to express various drivers and to utilize for analysis of vehicle stability at braking in turning, had been developed. This braking model had been represented by capability envelope of lateral and longitudinal acceleration. Those relationship had been defined as 'capability index'. From the result of the simulation, no effect of driver's braking operation for vehicle behavior had been found under slow run. From the result of the simulation under aggressive run, a large capability index driver had needed more compensatory steering operation to trace the desired course than a small capability index driver. The braking force distribution to each wheel depending on each load had been more effective for a small capability index driver than for a large capability index driver.
