Much progress has been made in improving vehicle safety in recent years and more vehicles are being equipped with ABS. This situation has created an ever increasing demand for ABS systems having high performance, lower cost, less operating noise and greater compactness. The authors therefore started to develop a highly efficient system to cope with these demands. The system provides an improved performance and greatly reduced operating noise and kickback by means of highly efficient control on road surfaces and reduced energy consumption along with the further advantage of good road feel while driving.
