The ride safety and ride comfort of agricultural tractors depend on the dynamic behaviour of the tyres with its low pressure and big volume. To describe the ride performence of the vehicle the knowledge of the spring and damping parameters in the longitudinal direction is also necessary. Evaluating the results of the practical measurements at the test rig with a non-linear tyre model, these parameters can be calculated. The results for common ride conditions will be discussed and pressure dependend equations for the use in simulation programs will be presented.
