The purpose of this simulator is to allow riders to gain experience in dealing with dangerous situations under various traffic conditions and to improve their ability to foresee such danger in actual traffic situations. We have succeeded in reproducing a riding perception close to actual riding with a system providing motion, visual images and sound. A control system of traffic flow by image has been newly developed. This is particularly important for safety training, which is main purpose of the simulator. In addition , the original function of reproducing the riding situations experienced on the simulator has also been further developed to enable more effective training. This simulator has already proven to be useful in motorcycle training schools in Japan.
