The aim of this paper is to present the corrosion, heat transfer and durability test results on five different radiator designs, showing the advantages of the electrocoating process in substantially increasing the life of copper-brass radiators with negligible reduction to heat transfer performance. A total of 101 copper-brass radiators were used in this investigation. Special tests were performed on gaskets, plastic tanks and solders in order to determine detrimental effects on these parts because of the curing temperatures required.
