The regulatory and social pressures on the vehicle industry have led the search for recyclability in automotive components. Although current vehicle radiators do use some recyclable materials, they will not meet the demands of future applications. This future need has driven the development of a radiator made of 100 % aluminium. This radiator offers a solution to the high regulatory and social demands for recyclability. This solution also offers to the original equipment manufacturer appreciable improvements in life cycle costs, durability and reliability over current technology. To take advantage of this solution there are restrictions in geometry, material contents and complexity of the radiator that must be fulfilled.
