Advances in vehicle design are reflected in a requirement for increased performance and durability of engine cooling systems. This paper demonstrates the continued development of brazed aluminium heat exchangers to meet high performance cooling applications. Calsonic materials and process technologies have been applied to a B-type tube design to satisfy high cyclic pressure requirements. Superior levels of durability have been achieved without compromising thermal performance and corrosion resistance by applying well-proven Calsonic materials technology to the B-Type tube design.
