Die Italienische Forschungseinrichtung Diesel Ricerche informiert ueber Massnahmen zur Geraeuschminderung an Bord von Schiffen. Nach Ausfuehrungen ueber die Geraeuschausbreitung an Bord von Schiffen werden Ergebnisse mit der elastischen Lagerung derMotoren (Mittelschnellaeufer von GMT A 420 und B 230) sowie der Schallkapselung von Generatoraggregaten eroertert.     The problem of the noise on board of ships is of primary importance and nowadays under study with the twofold aim of improving the comfort of passengers and crew and reducing the underwater noise. This paper deals briefly with some studies and experiments carried out by the author's company to reduce diesel engine noise transmission, and presents some possible solutions. There are exposed the design criteria of the resilient mounting and the characteristics of the acoustic enclosure. Evidence is given of the results obtained in the reduction of the structureborne sound transmission with the aid of the resilient mounting on high-speed and medium-speed engines, and those obtained in airborne and structureborne sound on three acoustically enclosed gen-sets powered by high-speed engines mounted on single and double resilient mounting.
