The method of vorticity embedded is applied to the prediction of parallel blade-vortex interactions. The computational model uses a grid-based method for specifying the vortex structure, which is assumed to be axisymmetric. Predicted surface pressures are compared with data from a recent test. It is shown that the computations predict all observed features of the data - including upstream and downstream propagating waves and convective disturbances caused by the passing vortex. There are significant quantitative differences betwen the data and computations and it is shown that one cause of these is that the assumed axisymmetric vortex structure is not accurate.
