Design and manfuacturing of electric cars faces a significant growth all over the world. Powered by rechargeable batteries these vehicles can contribute significantly to the reduction of the big cities' pollution. The small electric city car, extremely functional due to its small external dimensions and transmission simplicity, totally noiseless, environmental friendly, safe and reliable with low service cost is a serious alternative solution to the big cities transportation problem. Computer aided techniques were used for the design of the E-240, a 2400 mm long two seated electric car, developed at the Unversity of Patras.
