Adsorption cooling systems utilizing the exhaus heat from the engines can minimize the environmental and fuel consumption problems. A preleminary study on this suggestion is given. A water-zeolite adsorption system is proposed and calculated according the cooling capacity, thermal efficiency, adsorption isotherm potentials, and change of amount absorbed on zeolite during the cyclic steady state. Cooling capacity of 2800 W/kg at 2 kg absorbent per one of two units can be aspected. (Jarc)
